New Zealand’s most successful Para Athlete - Sophie Pascoe joins the Under Armour Athlete Roster.

Recently crowned New Zealand Para Athlete of the Decade – Sophie Pascoe is the latest addition to the growing Under Armour Athlete Roster in New Zealand. Sophie has established her dominance in the pool since the age of 15 when she won three gold and one silver medal at the Beijing Paralympics. Since then the accolades have continued, boasting 9 Paralympic Gold Medals and 16 World Championship Medals. Outside the pool, Sophie has been recognised across the sporting landscape as a leader and an inspiration to many.

It’s not only her performance in the pool that is recognised, it’s Sophie as a person and her values and alignment to the Under Armour brand. At Under Armour we believe our brand is stronger when our collective team of different backgrounds, experiences and perspectives is fully engaged and working together to support our teammates, athletes and partners across the country. Diversity not only enhances our culture, it drives our business success, ultimately helping us to deliver the most innovative products that make athletes better.

Under Armour is committed to celebrating, supporting, and championing women. After a year where we experienced some of the biggest losses - financially and athletically - now is the time to double-down on empowering women and inspiring the next generation of talent. Sophie joins at a fitting time, as Under Armour release their first Women’s Campaign which highlights the strength, courage & resilience that women have overcome to achieve success. Training together creates a community to achieve more. It’s not superhuman – it’s simply hard work and determination. Launching April 6, in partnership with Rebel Sport.

Sophie will promote Under Armour’s latest performance training apparel and footwear as she heads into her fourth Paralympics in Tokyo 2021. She joins Lisa Carrington, double Olympic Kayaking champion to the New Zealand athlete roster along with TJ PerenaraTom Abercrombie & Nico Porteous.
