John Da Silva - Managing Director
John has always been passionate about sports and the outdoors, with a sporting background in track, road and cross-country running – having represented both South Africa & Portugal in the 1980’s. Born and raised in South Africa, John emigrated with his family of 5 to New Zealand in 1996 and joined AGI in 1999. John took on the role of Managing Director in 2002 and has been a driving force in developing AGI since onboarding And1 in 2000, Keen in 2004, and Under Armour in 2006. John’s role in the business over the years has evolved, after seeing the staff grow from 3 people in 1999 to over 100 team mates today.

With over 40 years of experience in the NZ and Australian apparel trade I believe I have seen and experienced the highs and lows of this very exciting Industry and do provide some relevant perspective to the opportunities in front of us.
