TeamSport Athletes Kick Off 2023

On January 21, Under Armour welcomed their sponsored TeamSport athletes from across the country to Remuera Golf Club in Auckland.

Athletes were welcomed with a global brand induction, understanding the reason Under Armour exists - to make you better.

The athletes then had a hands-on opportunity to experience the latest product innovations that they will wear during the season. The key focus of the product session was the new UA Clone Magnetico Pro Boot.

Every foot is different and often athletes struggle to find footwear that provides a tight-to-foot fit. UA Clone Adaptive Technology solves this with a material designed to conform to the shape of the foot. These boots will be launched on field this season and sold in select retailers across NZ.

Post lunch and to close out the day a golf competition was held on the Velocity Driving Range with athletes competing for the longest drive and closest to the pin trophies. A solid and long 305m from Sam Nock won the longest drive beating Finally Christie by 1m. Tom Christie won the closest to the pin, a mere 65cm from the cup.

The Under Armour Men’s TeamSport roster for 2023 is below:

TJ Perenara, Folau Fakatava, Leicester Faiga’anuku,  Stephen Perofeta, Payton Spencer, Finlay Christie, Du’Plessis Kirifi, Mitch Drummond, Shaun Stevenson, Mitch Hunt, Ferg Burke, Tom Christie, Xavier Roe, Emoni Narawa, Fetuli Paea, Tima Faiga’anuku, Josh Moorby, Lincoln McClutchie, Neria Fomai, Lolagi Visinia, Danny Toala, Peter Umaga-Jensen.
